The Town of Herndon commemorates the Chestnut Grove Cemetery Association, incorporated January 18, 1954, as volunteer trustees to provide for the operation, maintenance, and perpetual care of the Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Throughout the forty-three years the Chestnut Grove Cemetery Association operated, the trustees gave selflessly of their time, talents, and resources to ensure the cemetery was operated professionally and that all were treated with compassion and respect.
The Town of Herndon commemorates those who served as a Chestnut Grove Cemetery Association Trustee at the time of its gift to the citizens of the town.
