1. Sugar Creek Cemetery Marker
Inscription. Sugar Creek Cemetery was established in 1836 and was known as Collins Cemetery. This land was purchased in 1826 by C.B. Collins and is the oldest burial ground in Woodville Township. According to the "History of Sandusky County" published in 1882 by H.Z. Williams & Bros. the first burial was that of Mrs. C.B. Collins in 1836. Several other area families buried relatives here. Even in 1882 the cemetery was no longer being used and was in disrepair. Today most of the grave markers have disappeared and only a few burial sites can be identified.
