Esta casa data del s. XVIII. Es una construcción de un solo nivel, construida en cantera, adobe y madera, cubierta por teja roja; las habitaciones se encuentran cimentadas en torno a dos patios. En la Nueva España, al ser Pátzcuaro uno de los centros urbanos de mayor tránsito comercial, mantuvo por más de tres siglos la Real Aduana, una receptoria a finales del siglo XVIII, administrada por Francisco Moreno y Madrid, dueño e inquilino de esta ilustre casona.

Royal Customs House
This house dates from the eighteenth century. It is a single-level construction, built of quarried stone, adobe and wood, covered by red tile; the rooms are built around two courtyards. In New Spain, as Pátzcuaro was one of the urban centers with the highest amount of commercial traffic, it was maintained for more than three centuries as the Royal Customs House, a receivery at the end of the eighteenth century, administered by Francisco Moreno y Madrid, owner and tenant of this illustrious house.
