Inscription. Frank and Elizabeth Gerber bought this 19 acre parcel in 1935 for $450.00. For many years they made it available to youth groups and neighborhood children for recreation / and winter sledding, thus, the area became known as Gerber Hill. In 1988 the Gerbers donated the area to Lenawee County. Development was funded by the county and a major grant from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund. The park was dedicated by the Lenawee County Parks Commission in 1992.
