1. Wetumpka Impact Crater Marker

Inscription. Because of the cleared natural gas pipeline, this area provides an excellent view of the eastern rim of the Wetumpka Impact Crater. The notch on the far rim is over a mile away. On the west side of Trotters Trail (behind you) the high point is near the epicenter of the crater.

Educational Viewpoint signs are part of the self-guided tour to see and understand the 85 million year old Wetumpka Impact Crater.
