1. Boeing Aviation Fields Marker
During 1920-21, this area of Forest Park served as a landing field for airmail service between St. Louis and Chicago. When the Park went through its first major restoration in the 1990s and 2000s, the newly named Boeing Aviation Fields were greatly improved, creating the first premier baseball/softball complex in the City of St. Louis. In 2019, the fields received $3.3 million of additional improvements (see captions at right) generously funded by Forest Park Forever donors.
