1. Konneker Alumni Center Marker

Inscription.
This building is a gift to the alumni of Ohio University from Dr. and Mrs. Wilfred R. Konneker. Dr. Konneker, class of 1943, physicist, is a pioneer in nuclear medicine, former president of the alumni association, and a loyal friend of the institution and higher education.

Built in 1901 by General Charles H. Grosvenor, an Athens resident and U.S. Congressman, the center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Dedicated homecoming day, October 10, 1981
