The Mexican colony in Los Angeles dedicates with deep gratitude and respect this sacred monument to the memory of heroes of Mexican descent who gave their lives in World War II in the interest of democratic principles.
Dec. 7, 1946 - This ground broken for the erection of a memorial as an everlasting tribute to those American sons and daughters of Mexican descent who gave all in World War II.
