Inscription.
In 1887 Lewis C. Meredith bought land in the unincorporated town of La Verne Heights, planted citrus trees, and built this home. The town's name was taken by Lordsburg in 1917. Meredith's citrus acreage was later sold, but the home has remained in family hands for over a century.
