1. Hope for a Rare Species Marker
Inscription. One of the most endangered cranes, red-crowned cranes have found safe wintering grounds in the demilitarized zone between North Korea and South Korea. This zone has become a haven for wildlife. Scientists are working to protect red-crowned cranes there and across east Asia.
