Crockett's Cove Presbyterian Church, which was constructed in Wythe County in 1858, is a significant example of a brick, vernacular interpretation of the Greek Revival style. The building is the oldest surviving church in the county and within the bounds of the old Abingdon Presbytery. Nearby, at Cove Mountain, Union and Confederate forces fought an engagement on 10 May 1864; the church served as a Union hospital afterwards.(Submitted on May 5, 2025, by Pete Skillman of Townsend, Delaware.)
