1. Harris & Morgan's Steamship Yacht Marker
Inscription. Harris & Morgan's steamship yacht was on a weekly schedule between Galveston and Matagorda Bay ports. Indian Point received another boost, this one from the widely read book by the author Viktor Bracht. His book compared Matagorda Bay favorably with Galveston Bay, as to navigation. Indian Point developed into a center from which merchants of inland towns could be supplied.
