Sus scrofa domesticus

The Mangalitsa pig is a heritage breed from Hungary, developed in the mid-19th century by crossbreeding Hungarian breeds with European wild boar and a Serbian hog breed.
The Mangalitsa pig grows a thick wooly coat similar to that of a sheep. It became popular to breed because it did not require much care, and with a thick coat of curly fur, Mangalitsa can easily withstand cold temperatures.
