1. Cook House Marker
Inscription. This board and batten, wood frame building was the living quarters for the Burdell family cook. It was used for this purpose until the beginning of the 20th century.

The abundance of wire nails indicates that this building may have been rebuilt for other purposes at a later date, at which time the shed on the east end was probably added.

During his archeological excavations in the 1970's, archeologist Charles Slaymaker modified the interior of this structure to serve as part of his on-site living quarters.
