Inscription. William H. Mathers built this bungalow in the twilight of his life. A successful lumberman, he was president of the Clifton Land Improvement Company. His daughter, Ruth, ultimately deeded the home to the Clifton Presbyterian Church in October 1964 on the condition she be allowed to remain here another five years.
