Inscription.
Spring No. 7 (later re-named Sprudel to honor the hotel's mascot) was the strongest, pumping out 12 gallons a minute with a production capacity of two thousand barrels of water a day.

A lucrative bottling business from Spring No. 7 soon developed. The West Baden Springs Water Company was chartered on October 25, 1901 and incorporated as West Baden Springs Company on September 17, 1907. The brand name of the product was Sprudel Water and sold throughout the United States.

The guests at the hotel would pay $3 to drink the mineral water at the Sprudel Pavilion for a 30-day period. They would line up early in the morning at the pavilion long bar where deft attendants would serve the water to suit every taste.
