1. United States Post Office and Courthouse Marker

Inscription. This handsome Classical Revival structure was constructed in 1907 by the United States Treasury Department. Under the supervision of architect James Knox Taylor, the federal building symbolized the modernization of Laredo associated with the rapid growth of the 1880s. Additions to the north side designed by architect Louis A. Simon were completed in 1936.
