1. Court House / Le Palais de Justice Marker
Inscription.  [English] In 1912 the Proclamation declaring Haileybury as the District Seat gave rise to such structures as the Court House, Land Registry Office and District Jail. The proclamation was largely due to the dreams and efforts of the founder of the community, C.C. Farr. Both the Court House and the Land Registry Office burned in The Great Fire of 1922. Rebuilt in 1923, the Court House stands as the exact replica of its destroyed predecessor.
