1. Haileybury Jail/Le prison de Haileybury Marker
Inscription. [English] At the Haileybury Jail, a total of nine people have paid with their lives for the crimes they committed. The last hanging in the jail occurred on Tuesday, June 13, 1961, when Owen “Mickey” Feener, a husky Nova Scotian miner, fell to his death for the murder of a Timmins resident. The hanging trap, used at the jail, is on display at the Haileyburg Heritage Museum.

[Francais] Dans la prison de Haileyburg, duit condamnés à mort ont subi la peine capitale pour leurs crimes. La dernière pendaison à la prison a eu lieu le mardi 13 juin 1961 lorsqu'Owen “Mickey” Feener, un mineur très costaud de la Nouvelle-Ècosse, a été projeté au bout de sa corde pour le meurte d'un habitant de Timmins. La trappe qui servait à la pendaison est aujourd'hui exposée au Musée du patrimoine de Haileybury.
