Inscription.  The Court House is one of the best historical landmarks in Swift Current. Designed by Raymond Philbrick, its construction began in 1913 and was completed in 1916. It was the first provincial building constructed outside of Regina dedicated to serve in two capacities – as a court house and as a land titles office. The building's size, location, and classic architectural style represented the demand of the times for a highly visible public presence. This presence was to create prominence and provide a sense of lasting local importance and identity.
