On this street was where the first houses of Silao were installed, on July 25, 1537 and for that reason it bears the name of Calle de la Fundacion (Foundation Street).
The Honorable City Council of 1936 and 1937, in commemoration of the IV Centenary of the foundation of Silao, dedicates this marker.
