1. The Roman Catholic Parish of St. Paul Marker
Inscription.
The Roman Catholic Parish of St. Paul was established at this site in 1864 for German-speaking Catholics of the then northwestern part of Fort Wayne.

Over the course of 138 years, this property also served the needs of St. Paul School, Catholic Charities and, later, the growing Hispanic community.

St. Paul Church was closed on June 28, 2003, and the congregation merged with St. Patrick Church, South Harrison Street.

This area is dedicated in the spirit of Christian unity by the Diocese of Fort Wayne = South Bend and Trinity English Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Dios te salve María, llena eres de gracia; el Señor es contigo; bendita tú eres entre todas las mujeres y bendito es el fruto de tu vientre, Jesús.

Hail Mary, full of grace. Our Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Luke 1:42
