Location. 15° 1.628′ N, 90° 52.638′ W. Marker is in Zacualpa, El Quiché. Memorial can be reached from 1a Calle just north of 5a Avenida, on the right when traveling west. Touch for map. Marker is at or near this postal address: 1a Calle 224, Zacualpa, El Quiché 14004, Guatemala. Touch for directions.
 
Regarding Martyrs of Zacualpa. During Guatemala's armed internal conflict the department of El Quiché was severely affected during the early 1980s. In Zacualpa at least 47 people were killed and thrown into a well near the Catholic Church during 1980 to 1983.
