1. Woodshed Marker
Inscription. The only heating for the house came from stoves that would have been fueled with wood since trees were plentiful on the farm. Trees felled by winter storms were cut into large logs in the spring and left to dry until they were split into small pieces for the stoves in the fall. They would have been stacked in the open part of this building, while the closed part would have housed the saws, axes, wedges and sharpening wheel.
