The Vienna Star Fort
1861 - 1865
Today, two points of the trench from the original fort remain visible.
Confederate troops camped here from June - October 1861 after the Battle of Vienna. Union soldiers are thought to have built the fort during their occupation of the hill between 1863-1865.
