1. The Oxford County Court House Marker
Inscription. The first court house built on this site in 1839 served the District of Brock and later the County of Oxford. It was replaced in 1890, but this court house was not completed for 3 years. Council held their first meeting on December 6, 1892. Building plans and financial problems delayed the construction. It is an outstanding example of late Victorian style of architecture.

Erected 1976 by Woodstock District Chamber of Commerce • Oxford Historical Society.
