Inscription. Named in honor of Captain Richard P. Pawson, SC, USN (Ret.) who constructed this garden from a drawing by Mrs. Mary Alice Donley
Although Captain Pawson retired after nearly 33 years of active naval duty , he continued his service to the Supply Corps. From October 1974 to July 1986 he served as Executive Director of the Navy Supply Corps Association and Foundation and as curator of The Supply Corps Museum. Captain Pawson’s devoted service to the Supply Corps since his retirement from active duty was as a non-paid volunteer.
