Becky Crowley represents the very finest values of the world of summer collegiate baseball. She has used the skills and resources of a successful business executive to enrich our community through her support of amateur baseball. "Miss Becky," as her boys call her, has been the volunteer host mom for dozens of Ripken League players from the Bethesda Big Train over a period of more than two decades. The success of Big Train baseball has been attributed in significant part to the word of mouth of Ripkin alumni about the warm and welcoming environment created by Becky and other host families. Becky serves as the League's treasurer and has served as a volunteer at virtually every Ripkin League All-Star Game and Championship Series since the League's founding. She is a role model for the generosity of spirit upon which summer college baseball thrives.
