Inscription. Shirley Povich Field is the result of the extraordinary community leadership of John Ourisman. As the Founder and Chairman of the Bethesda Community Base Ball Club, John recruited the organization's Founding Members, led the fundraising campaign for Povich Field, and built the foundation for a strong and vital community organization dedicated to improve youth baseball and softball fields. Thank you, John Ourisman, for your vision, hard work, commitment, and leadership.
