Inscription. The historic Anaheim Cemetery was founded in 1866 by German Colonists who organized the Anaheim Cemetery Association and purchased the original five acre site from Phillip Sichel. In 1893 the final parcel of land was purchased from Capt. Irwin Barr. The seven original trustees are interred here along with other pioneers of Anaheim and many early settlers of Orange County such as Daniel Kraemer, the founder of Placentia and the Rev. Lemuel Webber who established Westminster. In 1926 the site was designated a cemetery district and the original cemetery associated was dissolved.
