The Sherman was the U.S. Army's standard medium tank during World War II and Korea. Over 49,000 Sherman Tanks were produced. This M4A3 probably served as a training tank during WW2, and then with the 773rd Tank Battalion of the Louisiana National Guard unit in the 1950s.

The Louisiana Maneuvers & Military Museum is located on site.
