1. University of Guanajuato Marker
Los antecedentes de la Universidad de Guanajuato se remontan al Siglo XVIII, cuando los jesuitas fueron designados en una Real Cédula emitida por el Rey Felipe V por petición del Ayuntamiento de la Ciudad de Guanajuato como encargados del Colegio de la Santisima Trinidad creado a iniciativa de Doña Josefa Teresa de Bustos y Moya ayudada por miembros prominentes de la sociedad guanajuatense, entre los que destacan Don Pedro Lascuráin de Retana. Era el año de 1732 cuando instalaron el primer hospicio Educaron bien y a fondo, y se ganaron el respeto de la gente. Cuando los jesuitas fueron expulsados de todo el reino de España en 1767, el colegio cerró sus puertas por algunos años, hasta que los felipenses se instalaron en los mismos lugares reabriendo otra vez sus aulas, bajo el nombre de "La Purisima Concepción".
En 1827 se inició un ambicioso proyecto educativo para el colegio, emitiendo un decreto en el que se estableció que la educación superior debía se costeada por el Estado. Se reformó el edificio y se implementó una biblioteca pública y una colección mineralogia. En

The antecedents of the University of Guanajuato go back to the XVIII Century, when the Jesuits were appointed in a Royal Certificate issued by King Felipe by the City Council of Guanajuato as in charge of the College of the Holy Trinity created by the initiative of Doña Josefa Teresa de Bustos and Moya helped by prominent members of the Guanajuato society, including Don Pedro Lascuráin de Retana. It was the year of 1732 when they installed the first hospice. Educate well and thoroughly, and won the respect of the people. When the Jesuits were expelled from the whole kingdom of Spain in 1767, the school closed its doors for a few years,

In 1827 an ambitious educational project was initiated for the school, a decree was issued in which higher education was published. The building was renovated and a public library and a mineralogy collection were implemented. In 1945 he was elevated to the rank of the University of Guanajuato. On August 20, 1955 the new building next to the original school was inaugurated, this last edition became the symbol of the University and the green quarry of the region and in the front a staircase of monumental scale. In the last 30 years, the university has grown in dependencies, schools, students and staff, taking into account that in their respective places it is located in other places of the State. It is not minor, a story of more than 250 years.
