1. Portland Cement Marker
Inscription. Portland cement was produced through his patented wet process of pulverizing and blending the marl to extract the limestone. The resulting product was then burned into a clinker as a continuous high temperature in German kilns and then ground into a fine dust using round flint stones imported from Iceland.
