Corriganville
This concrete pool was built for water scenes in the movies filmed at Corriganville during the 1940's - 1960's. The square portholes located on the sides of the concrete walls are camera windows used to shoot underwater scenes. "The Creature from the Black Lagoon," "Jungle Jim" and "The African Queen" are just a few of the movies filmed at this location.

Regarding Concrete Pool. Corriganville was a working film studio and movie ranch for outdoor location shooting, as well as a Western-themed tourist attraction, from 1937 to 1976. The ranch, originally owned by actor and stuntman Ray "Crash" Corrigan, is now a public park with hiking trails and picnic areas.
