Junípero Serra Chapel
La capilla forma parte del conjunto de la Misión de Santiago Apóstol; en este lugar se mantuvo prisionero el general Mariano Escobedo durante la intervención francesa. El inmueble se utilizó como oficina de correos y telégrafos, hasta que en marzo de 2019, después de haber sido restaurado, se inauguró como Capilla en honor a San Junipero Serra, pacificador y evangelizador de la Sierra Gorda.
Junípero Serra Chapel
The chapel is part of the Mission of Santiago Apóstol complex. General Mariano Escobedo was held prisoner in this place during the French Intervention. The building was used as a post and telegraph office. In March 2019, after being restored, it was inaugurated as a Chapel in honor of San Junipero Serra, peacemaker and evangelizer of the Sierra Gorda.
