1. Philadelphia Toboggan Co. Carousel #6 Marker

Inscription. The Kit Carson County Carousel is a three row stationary machine (the animals do not go up and down). The 46 animals, 4 chariots and 45 oil paintings are all in original paint. The carousel's lion, tiger, dog and hippocampus along with goats, camels, giraffes, deer and numerous wooden horses march counterclockwise to the tunes of a 1909 Wurlitzer Monster Military Band Organ. It is open daily from 11am to 6pm during June, July and August.
