Frank Allis House
1888
Built by the son of the founder of the Allis-Chalmers Farm Machinery Company, this 14-room eclectic style manor house was among the first year-round dwellings on the lakeshore. The house contained seven fireplaces and a third-floor ballroom and served as the center of a 600-acre farm.
