1. Harlan Family Marker
Inscription. The Harlan Family left Missouri by wagon train in the spring of 1846, along with the Donner Party. At Weber Canyon, Utah, they split with the Donner Party, crossing Donner Summit 3 weeks before the ill-fated Donner Party was trapped. They settled in San Ramon in 1847 on 2,200 acres and built their home, El Nido, “The Nest”.
