Inscription.  Born in Ireland. Brother to Dennis Martin. Came west in 1844 with Stephen’s Party. Helped Rescue survivors of the Donner Party. First Settled at Bonnie Doon, in Palomares Canyon, later in the hills northwest of Dublin.
