Inscription.  Within these walls is carried the story of a family from simple beginnings. Through hard work and determination, they achieved success and prosperity, they developed the chiropractic profession and were broadcasting pioneers. This house was the foundation of that truly American dream.

Built in 1874 in the Second Empire architectural style, B.J. and Mabel Palmer purchased the house in 1912. They made several additions throughout the years including the front porch and greenhouses.

• (Left) The Palmers were avid world travelers in the early 1920s. Many of the artifacts from those travels are on display in the residence and campus grounds today.
• (Right) The large greenhouse that once stood at the southwest corner of the Residence was known as “A Little Bit of Heaven”. This and the courtyard gardens were a major tourist attraction for many years.

The Palmer Family Residence was posted to the National Register of Historic Places on July 27, 1984.
