1. Chris Pyrate + The Shay Marker
Inscription.

Spaces for reflection and expression are paramount, and in the summer of 2020, our entrances at The Shay provided a spectacular canvas for expression by local artist Chris Pyrate.

Inspired by the words of Bob Marley and Ijeoma Oluo on racism, these murals extended from our buildings into the streetscape — creating a new centerpiece in Shaw. Though the mural could not last forever, we are dedicated to preserving this remarkable artwork in our community indefinitely. We invite you to visit our concierge desk for a commemorative printout of the mural.
