1. Bandstand Marker
Inscription. Constructed entirely of wood at the onset of the Civil War, the first Washington Park bandstand was a key feature in the park. The bandstand was later replaced by a pond and fountain in the late 1800s. The bandstand you see today, designed in the Mission Revival style, was built in 1911. It is a concrete structure with a tile roof. It is almost identical to a bandstand built at the same time in another Cincinnati Park: Burnet Woods.

Restoration work on the bandstand was done in 1997 and again in 2012. Today it stands in its original location as a central entertainment venue.
