Graduate of 21st Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy
July 3, 1966 - Aug. 20, 1966

In the early morning hours of March 1, 1980 2nd Lt. Strang lost his life in an accident on the north edge of this bridge while driving home in his patrol unit after working the night shift on icy roads. Doing his Duty: Helping others arrive home safely.
