Inscription.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, thirty pumps were scattered throughout the Fortress. Underneath the superstructure of the pump was a masonry pit that reached about 3 meters deep into the aquifer sand layers. In 1904 the construction of a water main was started. The municipal council decided in 1919 to have the city pumps, which had now become redundant. removed.
