1. Jane Greenebaum Eskind Marker
Inscription. In 1980, sixty years after women became eligible to vote, Jane G. Eskind was the first woman to win state wide election when she was elected to the Tennessee Public Service Commission. She later chaired the commission and was the first woman to chair the Tennessee Democratic Party. She was President if the Tennessee Democratic Women’s Club, and chaired the Tennessee Commission on the Status of Women.
