1. Hardscrabble Hill Marker
Inscription. An ancient name for this hill on the old road to Frenchtown. It possibly got its name for the difficulty that horses had pulling a wagon to the top of the hill. It was also known as "Grays Hill".
 
Erected 2007 by Raritan Township Local Historic Committee.
