Descendant of early settlers in the Boggy Creek-Hilliard Island area, Dick was born in Osceola County. He was a rancher, citrus grower and packer and businessman. He opened Kissimmees first ready-mix concrete plant. He was the developer of Dover Shores in Orange Co.
