1. The Launch Boat Marker
Inscription. Because the original Choptank River Lighthouse was located two miles off shore, keepers went to work by launch boat, pictured above. We've created a replica of that boat, designed according to blueprints filed with the U.S. National Archives and constructed by the James B. Richardson Foundation's Ruark Boatworks Boat Building Team here in Cambridge, Maryland.
