1. Lost Villages Historical Society Marker
Inscription. To the south at approximately one-half kilometre, lies Moulinette, once a village of 300 residence. Adam Dixson, of Moulinette's prominent family, built the first dam across to Sheek Island and part of the Cornwall Canal, near the village. Christ Anglican Church, now at Upper Canada Village, Is a lasting legacy of Adam Dixson's contribution of land and money for it's construction in 1837.
