1. Citrus Χ bergamia Marker
Inscription. Bergamot's rind releases a highly fragrant essential oil that was used in perfumery as early as the 18 century in Cologne, Germany, where it was a key component of the original Eau de Cologne. It also lends its distinctive scent to smokeless tobacco, and, most notably, to Earl Gray tea.
